How can I create an Ordo account and add my children who are part of different locations?

NOTE: If you’re a parent and a staff member please check this article on how to set up your account.

Ordo allows parents who have children going to the same school but in different campuses or locations to order meals using just one account. 

Please follow the step-by-step instructions below.

Setting up your Ordo Account

1. Go to - https://www.ordo.com/  - and click "Sign Up".



2. Choose your State and search for your school's name. You can start typing your school's name and then choose your school from the list. 


3.  Select “Parent” as the Role, then click “Next”.


4. Fill out the Sign Up page with your details and create and confirm your password. Once done, click Next.


5. The next page will allow you to add the student to your Ordo account. Click the plus key.  

6.  The “Add a family member” window will appear.  The Role should be set to Student.  Enter your child’s First Name and Last Name (Preferred Name is optional).  The School name will be automatically populated depending on what was chosen on the previous page. Click “Add”.



8.  The next page should reflect the student’s name you added to your account as a Family Member. 

NOTES

  • If you don’t need to add any other family members, just click “Sign Up” to complete the process.
  • If you need to add your child who goes to the same campus, click the plus key and follow the same steps. Otherwise, click the “Sign Up” button to complete the process.
  • If you need to add your child who goes to a different campus, please follow the steps below (look for “Adding another student to your account from a different school/campus”).

 


9.  You will be taken to your Ordo account’s landing page.  Click the “Account” button on the upper right corner of your screen and click the “View Profile” button under your account name.



Adding another student to your account from a different school/campus


1.  Click the “Account” button on the upper right corner of your screen and click the “View Profile” button under your account name.

2. On the “Edit Profile” page, scroll down and click “Add a student” to add your second child from a different campus.


3. Enter the student’s information and select the campus of your second child.  Once done, click "Add Student".



4.  If you need to make changes on any of the student’s information,  go back to the “Edit Profile” page and scroll down to the list of students.  Click the pencil icon next to the student’s profile you’d like to edit.



4. Make the necessary changes and click “Save Student” to apply the changes made.

How can I add myself as a staff member and a parent in a school?

Ordo allows dual roles when setting up an account. If you need to place an order for yourself and for your child, it can easily be done in just one Ordo account.

Kindly follow the steps below:

1. Go here - https://www.ordo.com/  - and click "Sign Up".


2. Choose your State and enter your school's name. You can start typing your school's name and then choosing one from the list. Make sure to choose the correct school.

3. Choose “Staff” as the role.


4. Click “Next”.



5. Fill out the page with your info (First Name, Last Name, Email Address, and Cell Phone Number). Create a password and retype it to confirm. Click “Next”. 

6. The next page will allow you to add your child in your Ordo account. Click the plus key. 

7. Enter your child’s First Name and Last Name, then click the “Add” button.

8. If you need to add another child, click the plus key. Otherwise, click the “Sign Up” button to complete the sign-up process. 

9. You have successfully created an Ordo account and added yourself as a Staff Member and your child. You’ll be able to place an order for yourself and for your child. 

NOTE: If you accidentally chose “Parent” as the role of your account when you signed up, please reach out to our Support Team so we can update and add the Staff role.


Placing an Ordo for Yourself and for your Child


1. To place an order, review the menu and check the items available. Note that you will see the menu automatically once you log in again on your Ordo account.

2. Click the item you want to order from the menu.

3. Choose the correct date when you want us to serve the item and recipient’s name, either yours (“me”) or your child’s name or both.

4. Continue adding items to your card and check it out when you’re ready!

Is Ordo free for schools?

Yes, it's 100% free for schools. Ordo can be implemented by any school, at no added cost. Meals can be paid a-la-carte by families, included in tuition, paid by federal funds, or billed directly / partially to the school — you choose.

I’ve missed the deadline. Can I still order?

Unfortunately, at this time, our providers require orders to be submitted by midnight the week before to guarantee they can get all of the necessary ingredients and deliver on time. We cannot place any orders for the current week after midnight on Friday at this time.

How do I cancel my order?

We’re sorry to hear that you need to cancel but understand plans can change. Please contact support@ordoschools.com with your order number, student’s name, and school and we’ll be happy to assist!

What do I do if I placed a duplicate order?

We understand that duplicate orders can happen and are happy to fix this. Please contact support@ordoschools.com with your order number, student’s name, and school and we’ll be happy to assist!

What do I do if my student is sick or absent from school?

We’re sorry to hear that your student is out sick or absent from school. Please contact support@ordoschools.com with your order number, student’s name, and school and we’ll be happy to assist!

What is the order deadline?

We require all orders to be placed by the deadline set for your school - in most cases this is midnight in your timezone the Friday before the week you're ordering for. We send regular notifications so that you don't miss this deadline! Unfortunately, we cannot accept any orders after the deadline has passed.

How do I order with Ordo?

First, you need to make an account with Ordo, where you’ll set up a profile with your and your student's information. Once you’ve made an account, the menu for your school will automatically be updated in the account weekly and you can select your order from our menu! You can order as many items and for as many family members as you'd like at once. All of your information is saved to your account, so you only have to enter your students' info or payment one time.

How can I bring Ordo to my school?

If your school doesn't offer Ordo yet, sign up for our waitlist, and we’ll reach out to your school! We work with the administration to get our lunch program set up and running at new schools.

How does Ordo work?

Ordo partners with local chefs and caterers to bring your school fresh, homestyle and delicious options. We offer 4-6 menu items daily & cycle menus weekly. Parents, students & staff order online one or more weeks in advance, and we serve hot lunch daily at your school.

Signing up as a new user

Step-by-step walkthrough of signing up as a new user.

1. Go to ordoschools.com

2. Enter your information and log in if you have a pre-existing account. Select "Create Your Account" if you're new to Ordo. You can create a Parent, Student, Staff, or Parent/Staff hybrid account.

3. Update your profile with your name and school information. You will only have to enter this information once at signup, and then it will be saved to your account.

4. View our weekly menu! We offer 4-6 menu items daily & cycle menus weekly.

5. Checkout your cart when you're all set, and add a payment method. This payment method will be saved to your account so you won't need to enter it again.

6. To review weekly orders, select My Account > Orders. Orders will be sorted into "Past" and "Upcoming."

7. To review or edit profile information, select My Account > View My Profile.
